Alex Harvill, 28 years old, died on Thursday while practicing for a world record jump at a Washington State Airport. He was trying to break the Guinness World Record for the longest motorcycle ramp jump when he crashed.
He was attempting a 351-foot jump but fell short and slammed into the side of a huge dirt mold. He was attempting to beat Australia’s Robbie Maddishon’s record established on March 29, 2008. When the accident happened, he was riding his Suzuki 450.
