Boris Sanchez is an American broadcasting journalist working for CNN as a white house correspondent and covers President Donald Trump and his administration. He’s often been seen reporting in the field and is well-known for his coverage of natural disasters.
Boris Sanchez Early life and Education
Boris was born on 15 November 1985, in Havana Cuba but was raised in Miami by his parents, Jose Sanchez and Pachita Sanchez. His parents have two children, Boris and his elder sister, Leslie. Boris turns 35 this year.
Sanchez graduated from Miami Dade College with an A.A. in journalism and went on to Syracuse University, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. After completing his degree, he interned at MIAMI NBC affiliate WTVJ. Later he took a job at KCRC in Redding, California, anchoring weekends. In the year 2017, Sanchez moved to Washington D.C.

He stayed a while at KRCR but eventually shifted to Fox 31 in Denver where he anchored the 10 p.m newscast and also contributed coverage across all over the station programs since 2012. Sanchez also anchored breaking news coverage of the Arapahoe High School shooting (2013), the Black Forest Fire (2013), and the devastation caused by the historic floods of September 2013.
Boris covered several high profile stories during this point of his career, one of his most notable being the manhunt that occurred after the Dannemora, New York prison break.
He also reported on the terrorist attack which occurred at Chattanooga’s naval base. As his fame increased, he got noticed by high-profile companies and this led to CNN offering him a position with the company.

He has covered various breaking news events such as being among the first reporters on the scene at the Fort Lauderdale Airport shooting in 2017 as well as the Orlando Pulse Nightclub massacre in 2016.
During 2016, Sanchez also covered several historic natural disasters, including tragic flooding in Louisiana, Hurricane Matthew in northern Florida and a devastating earthquake in Ecuador.

He’s reporting throughout violent unrest and riots after the shooting of an African-American man by police in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016, helped CNN win an Emmy R. Murrow Award for the breaking news coverage.
He was also appreciated with the 2015 Heartland Regional Emmy Award for his hardwork and dedication in the field of journalism.

Boris has been known for keeping his personal life low profile. This lack of communication led to speculation of he being gay but all the rumors got shut down when he married his beautiful girlfriend, Jennifer Pekiut. The couple tied the knot on 17 September 2016 at Sacramento, California. Boris’s social media clearly shows the beautiful bond they have together. As of now, they don’t have any children.
