Throughout his career, he played an important role in the creation of the Illinois Venture Capital Association and the Chicago Business Center. Before he entered into the governor, Pritzker founded the Chicago non-profit small business incubator that has helped entrepreneurs to create more than 11,000 jobs and more than 1,000 new businesses with new ideas and skills.

As governor, he has expanded support for startup incubators and reduced taxes for hundreds of thousands of small businesses while incentivizing job creation and innovation.  It also extended research and development tax credits to help manufacturing workers and businesses prosper, and worked with the business community to create apprenticeship tax credits to promote job training.
