Jordan Belfort is an American Author, Motivational Speaker, and Former Stockbroker. His real name is Jordan Ross Belfort. In 1999, he pleaded guilty of swindling and related crimes related to working the stock market and operating a boiler room as part of a penny stock fraud.
Belfort remained for 22 months in jail under an agreement under which he attested against numerous associates and assistants in his fraud program. In 2007 he issued the memoir The Wolf of Wall Street, which was published into a film of the same name and was released in 2013.
