Netflix Originals September 2021

Netflix is set to continue its huge summer movie releases with a slew of new and returning brands, but there’s much more to look forward to in August. Here is a list of all Netflix Originals that will be available globally in August 2021.

The Kissing Booth 3

The Kissing Booth 3 will be available on Netflix on 11th August.

The Kissing Booth is one of the most popular YA rom-com franchises on Netflix, and it’s about to wrap up the trilogy. The third picture was shot in secret alongside the second, which came out in June of last year. Here’s what to expect from the final one: “It’s the summer before Elle Evans starts college, and she needs to make a significant decision.”

Sweet Girl

Sweet Girl will be available on Netflix on 20th August.

Jason Momoa leads in this latest action thriller. The film is directed by Brian Mendoza and stars Isabela Merced, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Amy Brenneman alongside Momoa. Remember that Netflix is also working on another movie with Jason Momoa in the form of  Slumberland.


The movie will be available on Netflix on 27th August.

Beckett, a new thriller from director Ferdinando Cito Filomarino about a vacationing couple who become caught in a conspiracy plot, will be John David Washington’s third Netflix Original movie of 2021.

He’s All That

The movie will be available on Netflix on August 27th.

Netflix hasn’t remade or rebooted a classic franchise in a long time, but it’ll do so again in August with He’s All That. It’s a remake of Miramax’s 1999 film, She’s All That. Even though several of the original cast members return, this is a standalone film about an influencer who takes a challenge to turn the school’s greatest loser into prom king.

The chair (Season 1)

The series will be available on Netflix on August 27th.

The Chair will be one of the first major projects from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Sandra Oh, Holland Taylor, David Morse, and Bob Balaban are starred in the series, which has an all-star ensemble.Here’s what to anticipate: “A look at the challenges and tribulations of a large university’s English department chair.”

Hit-and-Run (Season 1)

Coming to Netflix; TBD

This new thriller series comes from the creators of Netflix’s Fauda and The Killing, and it appears to be based on the DNA of the two previous series. Sanaa Lathan and Lior Raz are featured in the film.

Pray Away (2021)

Coming to Netflix: TBD

Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy present a documentary about the horrors of gay conversion therapy, with testimony from former leaders of the “pray the gay away” movement as well as victims. Kristine Stolakis directed the film, which will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2021.
