1. The Batman
Initially, Ben Affleck directed and starred in the Batman movie but gave up directing in 2017. In 2017 Matt Reeves started directing the Batman series. Soon after, Ben Affleck gave up acting in the Batman series. Since then, director Reeves has been focusing to give Batman a younger period.
Finally, this year, none other than Robert Pattinson is playing Batman. Along with him, we can seeZoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin as the villain. Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Andy Serkis, and Peter Sarsgaard will also be on the frame. The film will hit theatres on October 1, 2021. Batman makes it to the top of our list of top 10 most anticipated movies of 2021.
After being fired from Marvel, Gunn was looking for a new project. Gunn resolving the matter with Marvel is back in one of the most anticipated movies of 2021. He will be following up David Ayer 2016’s massive hit Suicide Squad. With the directorial chair passing to Gunn we can see a bunch of fresh faces. Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Margot Robbie and Joel Kinnaman are confirmed. The new cast includes Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, Daniela Melchior.
The film is scheduled to release on August 6, 2021, exactly the release date of Suicide Squad one.
Marvel has planned a first-ever superhero movie with kung fu edition. We can see an Asian playing the role of a superhero. With many rumours of who will be cast as the lead, we finally have a name. Chinese-Canadian superstar actor SimuLiu will be seen in the lead. Besides the hero, there was even more speculation for the villain. Marvel’s plan of hiding and distracting the audience played very well.
At last, it confirmed that legendary Chinese actor Tony Leung will play the villain in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, one of the most anticipated movies in 2021. The film is set to release on May 7, 2021.
Back in 2009, Robert Downey jr was on a roll. With all his Marvel Cinematic hitting high, he also started to work on the Sherlock Holmes franchise. He with Jude Law as Dr Watson smashed the theatre with a million dollars. The franchise was directed by Guy Ritchie. But after the second franchise in 2011 both the actors parted ways.
But finally, Downy and Law are all set to make a comeback with the same franchise. The rumours are not clear if Guy Ritchie will be the director or not. Sherlock, one of the most anticipated movies of 2021 will be released on December 22, 2021.
25 years later of the release of the initial sequel, space jam is ready to hit the theatre. The original movie brought the biggest Looney Tunes stars and Basketball stars. The film starred Michel B Jordan. In the new sequel, LeBron James is all set to step in Jordan’s shoes.
Warner Bros has not revealed all the cast members. But we can see a lot of NEB players cameo in the film just like the previous one. Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, and Klay Thompson are expected in the film. The film is set to release on July 16, 2021.
6. Black Adam
Being the number one superstar of his generation, Dwyane Johnson, “the rock” has given some massive hits. The only role for which he is preparing is the role of a superstar. Finally, in 2021 we can see him playing a superhero on the big screen.
Black Adam was first introduced as a villain for Captain Marvel earlier. But Dwyane’s views as a heroic personality. His vision has completely shined this misunderstood character. This led to developing a movie based on a character. Black Adam releasing on December 22, certainly is a no-brainer to feature on our list of top 10 most anticipated movies of 2021.
Since 2015, Spiderman series has shared an agreement with two of the most renowned studios. Sony and Disney/Marvel have had the agreement since then. But things went a bit conflicting in August 2019. There were rumours that Spiderman’s MCU future seemed to fall apart.
After some weeks the conflict did settle down and agreed for the renewal of the agreement. This led to one more Spiderman movie. The plot is still not revealed yet. But the movie is set to release on December 17, 2021. Well you know, every Spider Man movie is on the list of most anticipated movies.
The ninth sequel of the movie had already rolled the red carpet for the promotion. But when the coronavirus struck in March 2020, the schedule had to be pushed. The film was set to release in May 2020. It has been pushed to April 2, 2021. The 10th season was planned to release in 2021, but we might have to wait for that. The two franchises of the same movie won’t be featured the same year. We are looking forward to Dominic Toretto and the crew facing off against a dangerous new Toretto brother.
The battle of the famous giant monsters is here. Everyone’s favourite radioactive lizard and skyscraper-scaling gorilla will be placed against each other. The movie does have the old leads from the previous franchise. Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and ZhangZiyi will be seen. Newcomers like Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Eiza Gonzalez, and more will also be sharing the screen. The film is set to release onMay 21, 2021.
It’s been a while for the Uncharted to mark the theatre. In 2010, the original game series with the exact name came exactly a decade back. The passing game of the director’s chair was for quite a while. The film pushed its release date from December 2020 to March 5, 2021. But finally, it has been confirmed to be July 16, 2021. The film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer. Tom Holland with co-star Mark Wahlberg will be in the lead role.
