After graduating high school, Wes Chatham joined the U.S. military. He worked as a navigation firefighter on the flight deck of the USS Essex, working in crash and rescue for four years. Wes Chatham’s act was featured in the movie Antwone Fisher. This was Chatham’s first experience in making movies, which followed to further pursue his lifelong dream of acting. The same casting director convinced him to reposition to L.A. following his deployment. And then he was cast in Barbershop, the Showtime series.
In 2009, Wes Chatham played a regular role on the hit CBS TV show “The Unit”. He was introduced as a new unit team member sergeant Sam McBride.
In 2011, Wes Chatham starred as Brian Danielson in Brett Simmons’ Husk. He also played in the film The Help in 2011. That movie won a 2012 Screen Actors Guild Award for best performance.
Chatham played his first title role in The Philly Kid. After this, he starred in This Thing With Sarah.
